It still boggles my mind how Superman fans can be so enamored with an artist who has done a mere handful of issues of the Man of Steel. Despite this, you’ll get no argument from me or any fan about the greatness of Jose Luis García-López.
Growing up I knew his work simply by seeing it on merchandise of all kinds everywhere you went, and his art was legitimately impressive even if it was only on a bouncy ball or toothbrush.
Over time, I have really come to enjoy and appreciate his great talent. I consider him to be one of the greatest Superman artists of all time, and thought I’d share a post of his art that includes some less seen pieces like sketches and pages from more recent years.
Enjoy!
