Recently I came across this wonderful campaign organized by the Siegel & Shuster Society to build a Superman statue in downtown Cleveland.
It has always been a dream of mine to go to Cleveland one day and see all the Superman sites there- Jerry Siegel’s house, Joe Shuster’s apartment, Glenville High School, the possibilities are endless!
As cool as that is as a history/comics buff, I can also see why the people of Cleveland would want to honor a piece of their heritage in such a way, by celebrating the greatest superhero of them all. It’s really awesome to see celebrities in the comic world in support of this campaign, and I’ve attached a link to a post from Brad Meltzer below. I recently donated to the Gofundme campaign too, and just thought it might be nice to share that a bit here, in the hopes that it will drum up a little more support.
This way, when I do make it to Cleveland one day, there will be even more Superman stuff to see! Please support if you can!
